March 24 – 31, 2024
This week was a week of classes. I completed the courses I was doing on LinkedIn Learning and started the Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) path on the google developer’s website. The purpose of this training is to get ahead of the planning process for our network. This is the first GAN I am attempting to create so understanding the layout and how it should go will vastly improve the results I get from this first attempt, making things cleaner as time goes on. We also needed to present our final wire-frame of the application to our producer, which was simple enough. We had to make any changes that were requested from our first iteration and turn that updated wire-frame in. On top of that we had to provide our producers with what we have accomplished so far this month, which was setting up the software design document, the wire-frames, and all other assets that we have created.

This was a pretty easy and straightforward meeting with our producer. Once we presented the work we had, we discussed the generator and discriminator model and how we were going to get the training for that done. This I agree will probably be the most difficult part, due to a few factors, not least being the inexperience, the team possesses with fine tuning a GAN model, but also the difficulty of the initial problem. I do not see this as a terribly scary factor, one that would lead to failure but rather a good test of our ability to learn something then adapt it to our needs. With each of our goals met for the week we are going into our Easter break with some classes to do but also as a rest before the real work begins.
Thanks for checking out this week’s blog, I look forward to seeing you in a few weeks
Happy Easter
